A: Usually you will receive plenty of notice to prepare for trial. Unfortunately, in some jurisdictions, you may have to "get ready" a number of times before your case is actually reached. In some jurisdictions, the court will set a large number of cases for trial, but only a few are actually reached. Your attorney will explain this process to you.
