Can a parent be held liable for the injuries or death of someone else's child if their child is not the operator of the ATV at the time of the accident?

A: Yes, if the parents negligently entrust their child with an ATV despite the manufacturer’s warning prohibiting anyone under the age of 16 from operating an ATV they can be held liable if another child is injured or killed because they knew or should have know that their child would allow his under age friends to use the ATV.
